Call for Applications – Aboriginal Arts Development Awards

We are pleased to announce that we are accepting applications for the 2016/17 FPCC Arts funding programs.

These grants support First Nations and Aboriginal arts through five programs: Individual Emerging Artists, Organizations and Collectives, Sharing Traditional Arts Across Generations, Arts Administrator Internships and Mentorships, and Aboriginal Youth Engaged in the Arts.

Applicants must have a demonstrated commitment to their practice in any discipline — visual, music, dance, theatre, literary or media arts — and can work in traditional or experimental forms.

In 2016, 77 projects were awarded a total of $877,000 through the five programs. The deadline for all programs is October 31, 2016.

I have attached a poster, which provides a brief overview of our five grant programs. You can find our application forms and guidelines on our website (www.fpcc.ca).

Contact FPCC arts staff for more information — Cathi Charles Wherry, Arts Programs Manager, at [email protected] or Kyla Schorneck, Arts Programs Assistant, at [email protected].

We would like to thank all B.C. Aboriginal artists who are interested in our arts programs and look forward to receiving your application forms.
