Splatsin owns rental units on reserve lands that are available to band members by request. All band members who are living on reserve lands and do not own their own home are eligible. Priority is given to single-parent families with limited incomes.
When does my housing application expire?
Your housing application will expire after one year on file. All Tenancy Agreements end March 31 each year and are to be renewed April 1 each year.
How do I have repairs and maintenance done to my band-owned rental unit?
Complete the Maintenance & Repair Request Form online or at the Administration Office.
How do I get a copy of my tenancy file?
You must submit a written request and send by email to the Band Receptionist or drop it off in-person at the Administration Office or by mail.
How much does it cost to obtain my Tenancy File and how long will it take?
The first copy of our file is free. Additional copies are $50.00 each. It could take 30-60 days from the time of your request,
How can I view the auditor’s report for the Housing Department?
You must submit a written request to the Finance Department, specifically the Finance Director. You will be contacted for an appointment.
What is my responsibility as a social development client regarding receipts or rental payment for my rental home?
Every client is responsible for their receipts. Clients must request a receipt from the Housing Department every month. Without confirmation of payment, a tenant has no evidence rent has been paid on their behalf.
