Title & Rights

As one of 17 member organizations of the Secwepemc Nation, we the Splatsin, aim to ensure our people occupy, use and enjoy the entire traditional territory. As Secwepemc, our territory is unceded, held collectively and is protected by Section 35 of the constitution and existing case law. On behalf of the nation, ancestors and those yet unborn, Splatsin has a responsibility to act as caretakers for our territory and all the living things in it. The Title & Rights Department protects and preserves our territory, cultural resources, and culturally significant sites.
