Children’s Oral Health

A preventative service provided to children from pre-birth to age seven, Children’s Oral Health Initiative (COHI) provides dental screenings and fluoride varnishes at daycare, school, the Splatsin Health Centre and at home. Dental education and supplies are also provided to children.

• Dental check-ups for children and prenatal at the Splatsin Tsm7aksaltn (Splatsin Teaching Centre) Society, Shihya School, and home visits
• Fluoride and sealant applications to prevent cavities
• Education and information regarding oral hygiene
• Referrals and linkages to other services as per consent
