BC Corrections is focused on engaging incarcerated individuals in a pro-social environment that provides maximum opportunity for change by providing guidance and programming. The ten correctional centres across the province provide a safe and secure setting that supports people in custody in a respectful, fair, and equitable manner. BC Correctional Officers hold peace officer status and are an integral part of the justice system supporting the reintegration of those in custody back into society.
