EOC Update 05: White Rock Lake Fire

Due to the White Rock Lake wildfire, the Columbia-Shuswap Regional District (CSRD) has expanded their evacuation alert. On Monday, August 2, 2021, they expanded their alert boundaries in Area D to include:

• The communities of Falkland and Cedar Hill (Sweetsbridge), up Chase-Falkland Road, north to Joyce Lake.
• The hills west of and above Yankee Flats Road, north to Spa Creek. This adds one commercial resort at Bolean Lake to the Evacuation Alert area.

The evacuation alert boundaries lie just west of Splatsin IR#1/Salmon River. We are continuing to monitor the situation and remain in contact with BC Wildfire. For the latest information, please visit the CSRD’s news webpage at https://www.csrd.bc.ca/news-notices/news.
