Sean Johansen, Recreation Coordinator

Sean Johansen

Sean is honoured to be given the opportunity to work with the Splatsin Community. Growing up in Soda Creek and Williams Lake, and later living in Ashcroft, Sun Peaks, Nanaimo and Ucluelet, has given him knowledge about the Secwepemc, Nuu-chah-nulth and Coastal Salish First Nations. This also provided Sean with insight and an appreciation for Indigenous matters and culture which I hope to continue to develop through my employment with Splatsin. Sean has a Recreation and Sport Management Diploma and a Tourism Management Degree with experience working with Tourism Nanaimo, City of Vernon and the Williams Lake Indian Band.

In his spare time, Sean has a strong passion for the outdoors and recreation, enjoying mountain biking, fishing, camping, hiking, hockey, golf, baseball, SUP/surfing and snowboarding.
