Home / Employment / Summer Guardians Program
My name is Drew Rose and I work for Qwelmínte Secwépemc in Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc (Kamloops). We are an organization that supports and represents six out of 17 Secwépemc communities to negotiate with BC ministries.
This summer, we are offering high school students a full-time paid position (July – August) that will build life-long professional and personal networks while standing up Secwépemc Law, title, and rights.
I have attached an information pamphlet and posters about Qwelmínte Secwépemc, the Guardians program and how to apply for the summer position. If you could please pass this on to your high school students (Indigenous and non-Indigenous) that would be great. We can also conduct an info session, virtual or in person, if necessary.
If you have any question or concerns, feel free to ask.
