More Information for Upcoming Splatsin Election

** From the Electoral Officer **

Section 102 of the Splatsin Election Code States that a voter may only vote for 1 person for Chief and as many people for Councillor as there are Councillor positions.

The impression that voters can only nominate one person comes from the fact that the nomination form in the mail-in package only contains space for one (1) name. This is a form in the Code and is unfortunate in that regard. It would be better if it contained one space for Chief and as many spaces for Councillor as there are Councillor positions available.

All voters, please be aware of the following:

(1) of the Section 102 rule;

(2) that the Election is bound by the forms in the Code; and

(3) you can copy the nomination form or request more forms.
