Okanagan Valley Association of the Deaf (OVAD) is a small non-profit association that provides social, sporting, and educational support to Deaf, Deaf-Blind, Hard of Hearing, and CODA families in the Okanagan, Kootenay, and Shuswap Regions.
We are planning our first ever family summer camp on Mabel lake, at the Camp MacKenzie location from August 19-22, 2023. We are very excited as it will bring families together across our regions, and create valuable networking opportunities, using both American Sign Language and English.OVAD formally recognizes the Secwepemc’uluw’s unceded territories at the beginning of the camp, and acknowledges & honours the lands we are using.
