MOU: Splatsin Health Transformation Project

The Splatsin Health Transformation Project (SHS) Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) findings were presented to Kukpi7 & Tkwamipla7 (Chief & Council) on March 3, 2019, however, the project has been on hold since been on pause due to the pandemic. Splatsin is now re-starting the project. The next steps involve taking the research results to Splatsin funding partners to advocate and plan for health transformation based on community feedback collected during our engagement phase.

Kukpi7 Christian speaks about the purpose of the project and the path that has lead us here today.

MOU Project Team, Adrienne Lewis (SHS Clinical Manager), Crystal Morris (Project Engagement Coordinator) and Marla Turner (Project Data & Evaluation Lead) describe the planning phase, member engagement methods used, and data collection. Member engagement activities included eight in-person project meetings followed by a survey. The main priorities identified in the feedback include connection, empowerment, and balance.
