Indigenous Services Canada Funding Opportunity

CAPACITY BUILDING FOR ESTATE PLANNING AND ADMINISTRATION

Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) works collaboratively with partners to improve access to high-quality services for Indigenous Peoples. Our vision is to support and empower Indigenous Peoples in Canada to independently deliver services in their communities.

ISC is pleased to share these communication materials in anticipation of funding being made available to support estates management by helping to build capacity, improve services, and educate the public about estate planning and administration. This could include, but is not limited to:

  • communicating the benefits of estate planning and the importance of making wills and power of attorney decisions
  • raising awareness of settlements and how they may impact estates, dependent adults, and their caregivers
  • providing support for estates impacted by settlements
  • increasing the role of First Nations in the management of estates

This Call for Proposals is open to Indigenous individuals, communities, and organizations. The submission deadline has been extended by two weeks to August 20, 2023.

Funding is now available to help build capacity, improve or create new services, and educate the public about estate planning and administration.
