CATEGORY 2 & 3 FIRES PROHIBITED STARTING THIS THURSDAYPlease be advised that the Kamloops Fire Centre will be prohibiting Category 2 and 3 open fires beginning Thursday, May 18 at 12:00 p.m. (noon).This ban will apply to all open burning – with the exception of campfires – and will include burn barrels and sky lanterns. This prohibition will be in effect until further notice.Kamloops Fire Centre regulates areas of the region that are not covered by fire prevention/suppression bylaws; however, by policy, the Enderby & District Fire Department follows the Kamloops Fire Centre prohibitions unless local conditions, as determined by the Fire Chief, warrant otherwise.
