The Splatsin Emergency Management Department is aware of the fires that are progressing in the region of Kelowna.
We understand that an evacuation order has been executed. We want to ensure that the fires are being monitored and if there is an evacuation required for the community of Splatsin, you will be notified and guided to the evacuation/reception centres.
Please prepare your “to-go bags” in case there is imminent risk to your property or human life.
The to-go bags can consist of the following:
• Food• Money• Medical kits• Identification (Passports, ID, Drivers, Health Card) • Insurance for Vehicles/Home• Any documentation that you believe is vital to bring with you during the evacuation.
Evacuation routes have been established and will be released when imminent risk presents itself to the community.
