There are currently 0 active cases and 0 people in self-isolation in our community.
Splatsin Health Services would like to thank the community for its ongoing diligence to protect our most vulnerable against COVID-19. The Enderby area remains the lowest rate of vaccination in the Interior Health region at just 61%. This will impact our ability to avoid COVID-19 and we expect case numbers to fluctuate throughout the fall and winter. This means we must continue preventative measures including avoiding attending or hosting indoor gatherings other than with the people of your household. Splatsin Community Health Nurse, Meghan Tetrault RN, provides a brief update below:
COVID-19 Vaccine
Our best defence is the vaccine when paired with preventative measures. Over 90% of hospitalized cases due to COVID-19 are unvaccinated individuals. We understand that vaccine confidence can be challenging among community members, and we want to acknowledge the historical reasons and trauma that have contributed to this. Splatsin Health Services is available during the week to answer your questions about the vaccine, and administer the vaccine should you choose to receive it.
BC Vaccine Card
The BC Vaccine Card often referred to as the “vaccine passport,” came into effect on September 13. Proof of vaccination is required to access some services such as restaurants, indoor organized events, fitness classes, and more. If you have been vaccinated and have not yet downloaded your BC Vaccine Card, you can get it easily:
