There are currently 0 active cases in our community and 0 in self-isolation. The Pandemic Risk Level remains at 3: High.
Splatsin Health Services has been notified that we will be receiving the second dose of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine likely within the next month. Like last time, our staff may be given little notice before the arrival of the vaccine. Once we are given a delivery date, there will be communication released here on our website, on social media channels, and delivered door-to-door on-reserve prompting community members to call the Splatsin Health Centre to book an appointment. If you did not receive your first dose and would like to, you can also call the Health Centre to book an appointment at that time. Elders and other vulnerable community members will be prioritized. Our health team will notify the community of the second vaccine clinic dates as soon as it is available – please stay tuned for updates.
In advance of the long weekend, we would like to remind the community to continue to protect each other against COVID-19. The number of Indigenous people in B.C. with COVID-19 continues to decline, but it is too early to forget about what we have all learned throughout this past year. A friendly reminder that you must follow the current provincial health orders:
