COVID-19 Community Update 63

Members of our community have been exposed to a COVID-19-positive individual from a neighbouring community. Interior Health will be contacting affected individuals as soon as possible. You will be requested to stay in your home and self-isolate within your household bubble. If your symptoms change or worsen, call HealthLink BC at 811 to speak to a Registered Nurse. If you experience shortness of breath, confusion, chest pain, can’t drink any fluids, or your symptoms are severe, call 911.

Nearby First Nation communities including Little Shuswap, Neskonlith, Adams Lake and nearby Okanagan Indian band are currently experiencing COVID-19-positive cases with numbers rising – these are considered outbreaks.

Splatsin employees and contractors have been instructed to avoid travelling for business or attending any face-to-face meetings outside of their work bubble. Band members are also requested to avoid non-essential travel and gatherings with any individuals you don’t already live with.

Be kind and patient towards all of our community members and continue with the first line of defence – do not attend gatherings; do not visit other households; keep 2 metres between yourself and others outside of your home; wash or sanitize your hands often; wear a mask in public.
