COVID-19 Community Update 60

BC’s Provincial Health Officer has issued orders to help contain the rising number of COVID-19 cases across the province. These orders are in effect until December 7th and a modified version likely will be put in place after that date. The orders are aimed at reducing virus transmission in people’s homes and workplaces in response to an increase in the number of cases, hospitalizations, and outbreaks in health care facilities.

This is a challenging time at the end of a challenging year and our leaders are still asking us to do more. We recognize that these public health orders make it harder for the COVID-19 virus to spread but can also make it harder to feel connected to our families and friends.  If you need support in any way, Splatsin Health Services are available weekdays between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Please call and speak to one of our health professionals.

As a community, it is important to continue to focus on taking care of each other and reducing the risk of transmission of the virus. Thank you to everyone who is following the advice of health experts, being mindful of their interactions, and protecting the ones closest to us.
