COVID-19 Community Update 54: Flu Vaccine, Immunity Bags & Mental Wellness

With colds, flu, and COVID-19 circulating in our communities, strengthening your immune systems so they can fight off infection is more important than ever. Sleeping well, managing stress, eating healthy, exercising daily and getting influenza (flu) vaccine will help build a strong immune system against viruses.

The flu vaccine has arrived at the Splatsin Health Centre. You can receive your vaccine by dropping into the Health Centre on Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. throughout the fall. Community Health Nurses will be available to answer your questions and give you the information and tools you need to stay healthy. If you are an elder, are pregnant or have chronic health issues, contact the Splatsin Community Centre to schedule a flu shot at your home.

There are also free Immunity Bags available while quantities last for pick up at the Splatsin Health Centre by appointment.
