COVID-19: Community Update 46

COVID-19 Update

There has been some spreading of the virus in the Okanagan due to gatherings. It is important to remember that wherever you go, you are putting yourself and others at risk. Symptoms can be mild and we can easily spread the virus to people with are physically close to. The community must continue to commit to the basics of prevention:

  • Gather in groups of 10 or less
  • Keep track of who you are in contact with (contact tracing)
  • Stay at home when sick
  • Wash your hands frequently with soap and water for 20 seconds
  • Physically distance yourself from others

Everyone in the community has a role to play in staying informed on what COVID-19 is, where it is circulating, and how to prevent themselves from getting infected and passing the virus off to others.
