COOLING CENTRE UPDATE

Splatsin has received numerous inquiries as to whether a Cooling Centre will be activated.

Please note that a Cooling Centre will NOT be activated at this time as, based on the weather forecast, the temperatures are not sufficiently high to trigger a heat warning under BC regulations.

For a Cooling Centre to be activated, there must be extreme heat periods of 35+ degrees Celsius over two consecutive days.

For now, to reduce extreme heat within your home, close your blinds, close windows, stay hydrated, and drink lots of water.
