There are currently 24-37 COVID-19-positive individuals in our community and an additional 24-37 in self-isolation.
The office closures and the recommendation to stay home has been extended to Friday, January 28 at 8:30 a.m. Due to the rising cases of COVID-19, Kukpi7 & Tkwamipla7, in consultation with Splatsin Health Services, have decided this is a necessary measure to help protect our elders and the most vulnerable community members. Splatsin Health Services is reminding you of the importance of following preventative measures:
In response to this outbreak, Splatsin offices will remain closed to protect the health and safety of band members and staff, and ensure vital services and programs remain unaffected. This closure will expire at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, January 28. The following offices are affected:
Most of these departments will continue working effectively and safely from home during regular office hours to ensure vital services and programs continue for band members. If you experience cold or flu-like symptoms, isolate and call the Splatsin Health Centre at (250) 838-9538 to receive a rapid test. If you test positive, call the Splatsin Health Centre to notify a registered nurse. of the result. COVID-19-positive individuals will receive support and monitoring.
