Care Kits for Residential School Survivors

There are Care Kits available for Residential School Survivors and Intergenerational Survivors who would like one.

With the news of the discovery of the 215 children at the former Kamloops Indian Residential School, as well as recent discoveries at other sites across Canada, we understand that some community members are overwhelmed and hurting right now. At times like this, we worry about the pressure this puts on community members who are survivors, and all of your family members. Splatsin is offering a small care kit containing self-care items and different ways to reach out for support for those who would like one. If you or someone you love would like a care kit please contact the Splatsin Health Centre at (250) 838-9538.

These care kits are still being developed, so if other community members would like to contribute something to the kits, contact the health centre and speak with Mental Wellness Manager, Robb Landsdowne.
