The community is being asked to standby and monitor updates regarding the Bunting Road Wildfire on the East side of Mabel Lake. The fire is estimated at 3,000 hectares and is classified as Out of Control. There are 13 firefighters and 2 helicopters battling the blaze. Evacuation Orders for 66 properties have been mandated by the Regional District of the North Okanagan. At this time, Splatsin properties are not affected.
