On January 10, 2022, the Splatsin First Nation held a general election to elect Kukpi7 and Tkwamipla7 (Chief and Council) for the 2022 to 2026 term.
On February 9, 2022, the Splatsin Complaints and Appeal Board received a formal written appeal of the election by a candidate in the election.
