Some Splatsin community members have been exposed to an individual who is COVID-19 positive. It is important to note that this individual does not live in the community nor have they visited our reserves. Splatsin Health Services (SHS) is working closely with Interior Health (IH) as they identify and notify people who the individual has been in contact with This process is known as Contact Tracing. If you have been contacted by a public health nurse and ordered to self-isolate, you must stay home to help stop the spread of COVID-19 in our community. Self-isolation means:
If you have not been ordered to self-isolate, you can still help stop the spread of COVID-19 in our community. Please do the following:
If you experience flu-like or respiratory symptoms, contact Splatsin Health Services during the week between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at (250) 838-9538. After hours or if you cannot get in touch with Splatsin Health Services, contact HealthLink BC at 811 to speak with a Registered Nurse. If your symptoms are severe, call 911.
