It’s Property Tax Notice time again!
Remember: Taxes are due payable on or before July 2, 2022.
2022 SCHEDULE
January 1st: BC Assessment notices are mailed out.
If you have any questions regarding your property assessment, please contact BC Assessment Authority directly at 1-866-825-8322.
January 31st: If you wish to appeal your assessment you must do so by this date.
If you have concerns about your property assessment, it is recommended that you first discuss them with BC Assessment prior to filing a complaint, as a hearing may not be required. You can review the Appeal Process for Indigenous Communities here.
June 1st: Splatsin tax notices are mailed out.
Should you not receive your tax notice, please contact the Band Administration Office at 250-838-6496 x710. Please note: It is your responsibility to keep your property tax account information up to date as misdirected notices may result in late payment penalties and interest charges. (Click on the link to fill in the form and submit OR deliver to our office.)
July 2nd: Taxes are due and payable. Deadline for Home Owner Grant.
Payments can be made in-person by appointment, please contact the Band Administration Office at 250-838-6496 x710 or use our online contact form.
Payments can also be mailed to: Splatsin Taxation, PO Box 545, Enderby, B.C., V0E 1V0 OR payments can be made online through our website here. (Make sure to reference your tax folio #).
Please make sure to return the bottom section of your tax notice if you are applying for a Home Owners Grant, otherwise it will not be processed.
After July 2nd: Penalties and Interest will be applied for late payments
Penalties: Initial penalty of five percent (5%) will be applied on any portion unpaid after July 2nd, which an additional penalty of five percent (5%) applied on any remainder left unpaid as of October 31st
Interest: Interest is accrued at fifteen percent (15%) per year on any portion unpaid after July 2nd.
