Splatsin Community Camp

Join your community on Monday, June 21 to celebrate National Indigenous Peoples Day together at Pillar Lake! RSVP to:

Include in your RSVP: If you need a ride or if you plan to camp on Monday night as spaces are limited for both.


  • 8:30-9 am: Gather at the Community Centre
  • 9:15 am: Depart for Pillar Lake (Buses leave from both Community Centre and Jackpine)
  • 10 am: Crafters arrive and begin set up
  • 11 am – 5 pm: Canoe and pontoon boat rides
  • 11:30 am: Bagged lunch handed out
  • 12 pm: Depart for Pillar Lake hike
  • 1-5 pm: Canoe rides
  • 3:30 pm: Dinner (Indian Tacos Food Truck)
  • 4-6 pm: Powwow drumming and dancing
  • 6 pm: Clean up and depart for home

There will also be smudging and prayer bundles throughout the day.

There is a shuttle service to Pillar Lake available with limited seating capacity from the Community Centre. Filled on a first-come, first-served basis. There will be lifejackets available for people who don’t have their own.


This organized event will be adhering to the latest provincial health orders announced on June 15. There will be mandatory hand-washing and sanitizing stations. This event is limited to 50 people. If you are sick, please stay home. Read the latest orders here:
