Splatsin Administration is hosting an All Candidates Forum to give the membership an opportunity to get to know the candidates and have some of their most pressing questions addressed. All band members 18 and older are invited to attend.

Send your questions to the Director of Communications, Dudley Coulter, by December 21 at midnight to be considered: [email protected]. If your question is directed toward a specific candidate, please note this in your email. Questions not addressed to specific candidates will be answered by the first candidate to raise their hand.

EVENT FORMAT:

• Eligible voters can submit questions for consideration until December 21 at midnight. Splatsin Administration will review all questions and compile a final list of up to twenty (20) questions for distribution to attending candidates.
• Questions that are directed to a specific candidate will be answered by that individual. Questions not directed toward a specific candidate will be answered by the first candidate to raise their hand.
• Up to three (3) minutes will be granted for each answer. Speakers will be timed and stopped at the three-minute mark.
• Eligible voters will not be permitted to speak during the forum as questions are to be submitted beforehand.

SCHEDULE:

• 5:00 – 5:30 pm: Candidate self-introduction (up to 2 minutes each)
• 5:30 – 7:00 pm: Question and Answer period (up to 3 minutes per answer)

COVID-19: This event is being held virtually instead of in person due to emerging concerns surrounding the fast-spreading Omicron variant. This is an effort to help keep the community safe and ensure vital services and programs continue, as Splatsin and Enderby’s vaccination rate is well below the provincial rate of 82%.
