There is free Guardian Training taking place at the Splatsin Community Centre today!

There are 4 seats available. If you’re interested, come down to the Centre on April 5th and participate in the final 3 days of training.

• How to read and understand the Hunting and Fishing Synopsis
• Guardian Safety
• Identify potential offences and elements
• Required information to report an offence
• Collection of Evidence with photos and sketches
• How to report
• Common offences
• Managing stressed/angry people
• Proper note-taking/books
• Situational awareness
• Authorities
• Restorative Justice Introduction
• Preventing Conflicts with bears/ guardian community audits

This training may lead to work with Splatsin, Splatsin Dev Corp./Yuc, or with surrounding First Nations communities that are developing Guardian programs for their communities.
