Each year across Canada thousands of people suffer burn and scald injuries and our young children and Elders are most at risk. The good news is that these injuries are preventable.Burn Awareness Week (BAW) 2023 is February 5-11th. This is an annual, national campaign intended to heighten awareness about devastating burn injuries and educate people about how to prevent and treat them.
For Schools, FNESS has created a Poster Contest. The purpose of the contest is to engage all students — Kindergarten through Grade 12 — in an art activity to learn about burn and scald prevention. A winning poster from each grade will receive a $50 VISA gift card! Read more information below.
