There is one COVID-19-positive individual on-reserve and 12 in self-isolation.
Only 62.5% of band members living on-reserve have been fully vaccinated. Enderby is also below the provincial rate at 67%. The provincial vaccination rate is 77%. The vaccine, combined with preventative measures, is your best defence against COVID-19:
Splatsin Health Services is operating at a limited capacity during this latest exposure largely due to nearby virus-related school closures, forcing some of their staff to be at home with their children. All vaccinations and testing are being re-routed to nearby Interior Health primary care facilities until further notice. Our health team will continue to assist COVID-19-positive individuals and individuals in self-isolation living on-reserve in our community as per the provincial health orders.
Individuals 12 and older are encouraged to get vaccinated. Most COVID-19 cases, hospitalizations, and ICU visits involve the unvaccinated. Approximately 86% of ICU patients in BC are not vaccinated.
