Dear Splatsin Community,
I hope this message finds you well during these challenging times. As you may know, the ongoing Hullcar Mountain wildfire has presented significant challenges for our community, and I want to take a moment to provide you with the latest updates and offer reassurance.
**Evacuation Orders and Alerts**
Due to the wildfire, Splatsin has issued evacuation orders for the following areas as of Tuesday night:
• 4860 and 4910 Hullcar Road• 5214 Clcahl Road
Additionally, the Columbia Shuswap Regional District has issued evacuation orders for properties on the east side of Salmon River Road from 2325 to 2621 and the west side of Deep Creek Road from 2160 to 2310.
We have also issued an Evacuation Alert for IR#1, affecting the areas of Felix Road, Salmon River Road, Clcahl Road, Hullcar Road, and Williams Road. This alert means that all residents in these areas must be ready to evacuate on short notice, as the wildfire poses a significant risk to life and safety.
** Support and Resources **
If you are currently under an evacuation order, please register for Emergency Support Services. You can do this online at ess.gov.bc.ca, or you can visit the Township Reception Centre at the Township Municipal Hall, located at 4144 Spallumcheen Way, to register in person. Our dedicated teams are ready to provide assistance and ensure that your needs are met during this difficult time.
